Ravioli with Butter Herb Sauce


No one likes the feeling of an empty pantry. But as my mom always says, “It gives you the chance to be CREATIVE!” Not yet confident in my creativity skills as a cook, I smirk at her and walk away. So tonight, I started the creativity kick which will last until Friday. (Friday is when we go back and get more groceries 🙂 !) I started it off pretty simple and as the week continues you will see more complex and original recipes. Because as a future chef, I will need to learn that skill!

Ravioli with Butter Herb Sauce
Serves 3

10-12 frozen or fresh ravioli
Follow directions on package.

Sauce:
3/4 stick butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
1 tsp. garlic
1 pinch pecarino romano cheese
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Melt butter in a pan on low-medium heat. Stir butter so it doesn’t burn. Add in milk and flour, adjusting if necessary. Add herbs and cheese according to your taste. Make sure the sauce does not burn!
